The Governor's Press Office is responsible for publicizing events of the governor's administration. During the term of Endicott Peabody (1963-1965), when it was known also as the Governor's Public Information Office, it was closely allied with the Research Dept. under the governor's special assistant in researching and preparing gubernatorial speeches. Administrative files were created in the course of these activities.
